Another great article. These are conversations we need to be having now. We also need to recognize and remember our greatest strength is in solidarity. Our numbers are our strength and the right will never be able to match our grassroot numbers. Petty differences about tactics or style can only hurt us in the long run. Let’s keep our heads and give each other the room to be themselves without preaching to anyone about what we think might be best. Let’s stick together, stay peaceful and remember we are up against forces that want to win no matter what. We can’t become monsters to counter the monsters we are up against

When I see right-wingers spinning out their conspiracy theories about Ray Epps, I can't help but think about their well-established pattern of accusing people of doing the things they do themselves.

Sorry, the Hands Off protest was corporate sponsored (insider trader Nancy Pelosi turned up at one🤮) and it was pro NATO. NATO is a terrorist organization.

No. You're missing the point. I don't care who sponsored it, though I saw zero evidence of what you're talking about and you have provided none -- a warning sign of COINTEL-style behavior as explained above.

I'm glad Pelosi showed up, even though I despise a lot of what she's done and believe her insider trading should be prosecuted. I would never describe NATO as a terrorist organization, despite issues with how they have conducted themselves in the past. It was wonderful to see massive support of both Ukraine and Palestine at the DC protest I attended, and I hope to see more of the same. We need a mass movement. We need every single person we can get who opposes what Trump is doing.

This is a blatant attempt to break solidarity, to discourage participation, and to denounce a movement that is just getting started. I don't think there's much of a chance these protests stop what's coming, but they do get people used to saying "no" to the Trump regime, which is the most useful thing that can happen right now as far as preparing more serious opposition as these things continue.

In conclusion, your efforts to break solidarity are unappreciated and unwelcome here. You will be banned from commenting for 90 days; should you return with this kind of rhetoric you will be banned for life. As stated in the article you are replying to, I am not going to provide a platform for COINTEL-style behavior, regardless of how well-meaning you may be.

I wonder if it would be useful to maybe have a dedicated team of low-key people appointed secretly by leadership to monitor specifically for individuals such as the one you described that was attempting to get a "kill trump" chant going?

Like you said they left by themselves after you shut it down, and I can't help but wonder if they possibly were sent there with ulterior motives? Either by the feds or just random maga lowlifes/influencers/Jack Posobiec types.

So maybe there could be a team of people that try to do some light surveillance of suspicious people like this and communicate via radio or signal or whatever and follow them around from a distance and film them and see if they end up getting in a van parked in an alley somewhere or regroup with anybody. And then just keep track and keep a running log of such incidents with pictures/video and see if there are any patterns or the same person showing up to multiple events.

Just a thought.

I understand the thought process behind this, and I do think asking trusted (long-term, well-known) members of groups to unofficially keep an eye out for bad behavior is a good idea, especially if they are simply documenting people who may be trouble. I also think we should be aware of risks involved with appointing a specific group of people who determine who is and is not welcome. This is exactly the position a fed would want to get into. A bad actor could also use it as an excuse to film protesters, which I think will become more dangerous as time goes on

I think it's more important, if possible, to create a culture of intolerance of this kind of behavior generally. If, wherever they go, there is someone nearby to say "we don't do that here," we do not come to depend on a select group of people

Endorsement with caveats, is what I'm saying
